The Administrative Assistant to the Research and Postgraduate Program at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine provides a high level of administrative support to both programs. The Administrative Assistant will have requires a great deal of professionalism, discretion and integrity in dealing with internal and external contacts as well as students. The successful candidate must be able to produce a high level of attention to detail.



Research Program:

  • Set meetings for Center Directors
  • Minutes PGRC
  • Travel arrangements for directors, students, researchers
  • Schedule research vehicle
  • Pay invoices
  • Create Purchase Orders Process petty cash requests
  • Complete restaurant vouchers and process for payment
  • Expensewire submission for Center Directors
  • Principles of Research Seminar student tracking

Postgraduate studies Program:

  • Maintain research pages on the intranet and website
  • Respond to postgraduate queries in postgraduate mailbox
  • Schedule calendar appointments for postgraduate assessments and workshops
  • Learn processing and systems for postgraduate student application and progression (application, admission, orientation, progression, graduation)

Completes other duties as assigned.



  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but may substitute with a combination of education and experience for the right candidate.
  • Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, work independently and as a team member.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain composure when working under pressure.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
